This document covers resolution questions about IDAutomation’s Java Barcode products:

• Barcode size is not accurate on AIX UNIX.
• Barcode sizes are different between computer platforms.

Solution(s):

Screen resolutions may change with different operating systems. Since the Java components determine the resolution of the barcode by screen resolution, the screen resolution may have to be hard-coded in the Java components to compensate (Example: bc.resolution=38 for the barcode). This will allow the Java component to create symbols equally between AIX, Windows and Mac systems.
