Create AFP, PCL, Xerox Decentralized, Xerox FNT or Metacode Barcode Font formats
Problem:
How to obtain Barcode, MICR, or OCR fonts in AFP, Xerox FNT, PCL, Xerox Decentralized, or Metacode formats.
Solution(s):
IDAutomation font packages include TrueType, OpenType, PostScript and PCL fonts for a variety of applications. If AFP, Xerox FNT, PCL, Xerox Decentralized or Metacode fonts are needed:
- Purchase a Developer License for the fonts that need to be converted.
- Use a software package (such as Elixir) that converts the fonts into the desired format. With a Developer License, conversions of all IDAutomation fonts are royalty-free according to the License Agreement section and Conversions and Embedding.
- Open Elixir (or other appropriate font conversion software) and import the appropriate PCL font. To ensure the accuracy of bit-mapped fonts, 300dpi PCL fonts should be used instead of TrueType or PostScript fonts.
- Make any necessary changes to the font and export it in the desired format.
