Problem:

When using Windows applications such as Word, Excel, Access or Crystal Reports, IDAutomation’s Code 128 and Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode fonts may appear first in the drop-down list with the “@” symbol prior to the font name. If this font is selected, it will not work properly and will most likely create spaces, horizontal lines or other unexpected errors in the barcodes as seen in the example below:

To solve the problem, choose the corresponding fonts without the @ symbol in the font name as below:

The @fonts are found when using multiple character set fonts in Windows and are there by design to only appear in applications that support them. Reasons for the existence of @fonts include setting vertical Asian text to be rotated counterclockwise by 90 degrees and to show a selection of partially embedded fonts that do not include all characters.
