Poor Print Quality using Zebra Drivers

Customers have reported poor print quality when printing barcodes with certain Zebra printers at 203 dpi. The same barcodes printed with other printers at the same resolution still print at higher quality.

Solution(s):

The issue is caused by certain print drivers provided for the Zebra printers. Zebra drivers utilizing Raster technology and the rasdd.dll do not show degradation in quality; therefore it is recommended to Download the most recent Zebra Print Drivers. This will usually resolve the issue.

If the updated print driver does not solve the issue, increasing the point size of the IDAutomation Fonts or the X dimension of the IDAutomation Components has also been known to resolve the issue.
