This problem occurs after performing the latest security updates and service packs on some Windows operating systems.

This issue applies only to the ASP Barcode Server Component for IIS with build dates prior to December, 2007. Obtain the latest version by updating the Support and Upgrade Subscription.

Solution(s):

The problem only occurs when the HEIGHT and WIDTH parameters are not specified. For example,

http://localhost/idalin.asp?BARCODE=123456 causes an error.

However,

http://localhost/idalin.asp?BARCODE=123456&HEIGHT=80&WIDTH=200 allows the server to create the correct barcode.

To solve the problem, specify the HEIGHT and WIDTH parameters in pixels for the resulting image or upgrade the package to the latest version. Download the current version of any IDAutomation product with an active Level 2 Support & Upgrade Subscription.
